Melyn - Sustainable Suncare Brand

Crafted amidst Cornwall's coastal charm, our suncare brand 'Melyn' harnesses the essence of sustainability and local tradition. Infused with the essence of discarded Saffron Cake from beloved local bakeries, our mission is to redefine beauty through innovation and environmental responsibility. This project was made in my 2nd year of university under a brief of 'Make a skincare brand that uses surplus bread as an ingredient'.

This video shows the behind the scenes of the creation of the chalk promotional material the brand would place in different locations. I had cut out this stencil and used chalk to colour in the ground. I then was assisted by a friend to 'reveal' the template as I filmed for behind the scenes. The chalk design you see in the social media is in fact real and not edited.

This video shows the behind the scenes of the photoshoot of the product packaging. These photos were taken at home with the use of paper, cinnamon & sugar to create fake 'sand' and a wood book holder we had in the house. For the photography of this project I was assisted by Iris-Scarlet McCulloch.
