After iterating on several concepts, I decided to create a unique mascot character that could bring personality and cohesion to the new emoji set - I chose a mouse due to the idea of a mouse in a technology based form.
One of the key challenges was balancing clarity and charm within the Discord standard size of 128x128 pixels, ensuring the emojis remained expressive and readable at a small scale, but weren't too basic that they were boring.

Midway through the creative process, I realised the initial drawings were created on the wrong canvas size and in the CMYK colour mode instead of RGB. To ensure the emojis looked their best, I chose to restart the designs using the correct specifications.
Drawing on my previous experience and inspired by the clarity and impact of Twitch emotes, I reworked the illustrations on the exact 128x128px canvas to optimise them for digital use.

The final designs are now available as emojis and stickers in the Adobe Creative Career server!
